The diary I ordered from Korea finally arrived. It is such a pretty diary, though a little bit smaller than I'd imagined.
As you can see from the picture above, it came in a tin box, with a sheet of index stickers and a PVC cover to protect the diary from wears, stains, water, whatever you name it.
Everything about it spells high quality and I'm very happy with this purchase.
The illustrations are also very cute and endearing!
This diary is so precious that I almost don't want to write anything in it, in case I destroy its prettiness. Yes, I know it's ridiculous -__-;; but I can't help it!
Korea and Japan produce some of the cutest things on this tiny planet, I tell yah!
I am bewitched by their products all the time... ah, my wallet is weeping right now.
My mom is always puzzled over my obsessions with cute things, and keeps on telling me to 'grow up', but she just can't understand my joy whenever I come across a lovely illustration, a unique product, a stylish design *sighs*...
It's something that I don't think I'll ever 'grow out' of.
Around last week, three graphic novels from Amazon also landed on my front porch.
All of them are self-contained books, meaning that it starts and ends within the scope of that volume.
I haven't found the time to read any of them yet however, which is a shame.
GoGo Monster came with a hardcover box around it that is just adorable.
Recently, I also made some sugar cookies.
It was the first time I made them, but they tasted really good!
I grouped them together and distributed them as Christmas gifts to my friends.
One snowing night I packed my stuff and migrated to my friend's house for a slumber party.
There we made these sugar cookies. The whole world seemed to be adrift amidst swirls of wind and snow, but there we were, sculpting alive these little treats :).
It was very quiet inside her house, yet so cozy and warm.
And that was one wonderful memory that I won't forget for the years to come.
I apologize if this post is random and scattered.
So many things happened in between that I really didn't know where to start.
That's why I figured it was better to begin with items I have acquired and things I have made and work my way out from there.
Re-reading some previous posts, it just appears to me that I was such a drama queen ^^a... or rather, I was being so dramatic, serious and over-emotional about almost everything in my life.
Knowing myself, I am always on this constant search for self-improvement, so I guess all of those dramas were just parts of me growing up and understanding life a little better.
My resolutions for New Year are short: to read the Bible and pray daily (which I have been keeping at it for a while now), to exercise daily, to eat healthy, to build a great portfolio, and to save enough money to come back to Vietnam to visit my sister.
Though they seem simple enough, but getting them to work out is the hardest part.
Therefore, I'm doing it sloooowwww.
Realizing that life is an ongoing journey, a long marathon, I feel no need to burn myself out so fast.
Instead, I will take baby steps. By doing so, I've been reading the Bible and praying daily now.
After two months, I'll go on the exercising daily, I'll try to do so until it becomes a habit.
Hopefully they will work out. If not, I'll just try again :).
Before I say goodbye, Gia An my niece would like to greet you guys :). Roarrrr she says!
I hope you enjoy the post, if not, too bad -__-; I tried, really I did.
But thanks for reading!!
Ja ne!
